Weekly Roundup – 3rd Quarter Taxes Edition

It’s hard to believe, but we’re already approaching mid-September, when 3rd quarter estimated tax payments are due. Once again, I’ll be filing both state and federal. While I don’t like having to make estimated tax payments, you have to take the bad with the good – I’d much rather have side income than not!

Instead of doing the right things and figuring my taxes, however, I’d rather take a look at some of the articles that caught my eye over the past week…

FMF talked about an interesting advantage of being rich.

Jim talked about the risks of “paperless finance.

MBH detailed his yard sale finds. Oddly enough, he bought some Indigo Girls CDs…

NCN talked about reducing debt by selling extra belongings.

JLP pointed out that September is a bad month for stocks.

JD decided to undertake a bit of financial archaeology.

Flexo talked about Ben Stein’s tip for new college students.

SVB talked about why she wants to retire early.

Jeremy listed a few reasons you should pay your taxes.

4M put together an interest rate tutorial for dummies.

Ben talked about whether or not your routines result in wealth and happiness.

Sun is thinking about rolling over his 401(k).

Lazy Man decided to stop his Prosper contributions.

My Two Dollars pointed out a scam IRS e-mail that’s making the rounds.

Finally, Matt at How I Will be Rich talked about his eight step process to building wealth.
