If you’re going to be shipping packages for the holidays, keep in mind that the US Postal Service recommends that you mail your packages on or before December 19th for delivery by Christmas. Packages destined for most military bases around the world need to be en route by the 10th, whereas packages headed for Iraq or Afghanistan need to be shipped by the 5th. So get cracking! And keep in mind that the 19th is expected to be the busiest shipping day of the year so, if you want to avoid heinous lines, you need to get your act together and ship early. Of course, if you procrastinate and miss these dates, you can always pay through the nose for overnight delivery.
