As a followup to my recent post about Chase Freedom bonus categories for 2012 (and their $100 signup bonus), here’s some info on the bonus categories for the Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Visa® Card credit card…
As you’re likely aware, many credit card companies have switched to a model where they offer a base level of rewards (typically 1%) plus bonus rewards (usually 5%) in certain categories. Citi is amongst those who now use this model and, unfortunately, you have to re-enroll each quarter.
The categories will switch on October 1, so it’s time to re-enroll. Here’s the deal:
Earn 5% Cash Back when you use your Citi Dividend Card in the following categories from October 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012*, after you accept this offer:
• Macy’s
• Electronics store and Toy store purchases
Don’t forget the $100 bonus…
If you don’t already have the Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Visa® Card card, you can get a $100 cash bonus by applying for one, getting approved, and spending $500 within the first three months, and there’s no annual fee.
As with the Chase Freedom® card, we’ve had this card for years and have never had any problems getting Citi to hold up their end of the bargain. You just login, request the check, and it shows up in your mailbox within a week or so.

i think for CITI… the next round is for airline tickets, car rentals. starting 7/1/12
Have the summer, 2012 bonus categories been announced for
the Citi Reward card?
Thanks for the info.
