Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card

*EDITOR’S NOTE: The below offer(s) are expired and/or no longer available.

As I’ve noted in the past, the credit card market has been coming back to life in recent months. As further evidence of this, the Chase Sapphire Preferred card is offering a signup bonus of 40k points after you spend $3, 000 in the first 3 months.

This is a solid deal, as your 40k points can be redeemed for $500, toward travel when you redeem through Ultimate Rewards?.  You get a 20% discount when applying your points to travel through Ultimate Rewards?. If you want a more expensive ticket, you simply pay the difference. There are no blackout dates or other travel restrictions.

To qualify, simply apply for the card and spend $3, 000 in the first three months. There is an $95 annual fee, but it’s waived for the first year. Once you have the card, earn two points per dollar spent on travel and dining at restaurants and one point per dollar spent on all other eligible purchases with no earning cap or points expiration.
